Reviews
Booked on recommendation from friends late on a Friday, for Saturday lunch, fully expecting the place to be fully booked. It was no problem to get a table (whether we were shoe-horned in or not) which was typical of the fantastic service we received.
George & Millie (apologies if I've spelled that incorrectly) were so friendly. The food was fantastic, my Porterhouse was tender and perfectly cooked, and the wife's beef wellington was superb.
Cannot rate this place highly enough.
Went here on a works dinner, no vegan options on the mains, but I was asked to call ahead and the chef said he'd make me anything, I said he could surprise me. And surprise me he did! The food was amazing! And such variety!! Usually when there's no vegan options, I don't expect much, but chef amazed me!!! 10/10!!
Food was amazing & the staff are very polite & helpful. Unfortunately sat next to a family of 4 who was being loud & swearing alot but that is at no fault of the staff, it was just bad timing..
I'll look forward to returning. Yum!
I don't normally take photos of my food, so you won't get to see the excellent Scallop and Chorizo we had for starters, or the beautiful Sea Bass that the missus had, but here is the Beef Wellington I had. Seriously good, beautifully cooked - everything done just right.
6 of us went here on a Sunday for my husband's birthday.
The food is amazing but our experience was spoilt by a very very loud table next to us.
Think the owners of the restaurant should have told them to keep the noise down as we couldn't hear each others conversations.
We had to keep asking the waiting staff to order, drinks and food, they seemed very distracted and not at all attentive.
Went here last week for a group meal with work .
The food is outstanding and served quickly bearing in mind we were a group of 30 highly recommended
Excellent food great menu with exceptional service. We have not been there since pre covid but will be returning very soon. Lovely evening thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well.
Great food, good service and excellent home made desserts! All the pubs in the Lea Valley area near the waters were full so we drove 10min east and discovered a gem! Shame though that the mains are priced like in London.
